Could you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you started crafting?

I began knitting when my husband’s job relocated us to a state where we had no friends or family. Learning to knit not only introduced me to some wonderful, new friends, but also kept me busy.

Rainy days and new projects ….

What makes knitting special to you?

Life can get busy in a hurry. I do a lot of running around (I love it, I do) with my two girls. Knitting is how I spend my “me” time. It helps me slow things down and is the time when I do all of my big thinking and mental unwinding.

Your designs are so wearable! What’s the key to designing items you can just throw on and feel great in?

Comfortable clothing is a big deal for me. I love clothing that allows me to be active with my kids, but also makes me feel pretty.

Cozy sweaters and cardigans with interesting textures are one of my favorite things to create. Because I live in well-loved denim jeans, shorts, or comfy leggings, I love tops and accessories that dress up the ordinary.

Do you have any good tips on how to incorporate knits into your summer wardrobe?

Shawls are my go-to for summer knitting. I absolutely love the casual look of linen pants, a sleeveless top and a shawl.
I have three shawls on the needles at the moment!

If you were a yarn, which one would you be?

If I were a yarn I would be a soft, hand dyed yarn with a LOT of bounce, haha!

Some see weeds, others see wishes 💕 #midwest #childhood #sunset
