Discover more sale yarns with squish and swatches
Don’t miss out – the January sale is almost over! Check out these sale yarns before they are gone: see how they squish and knit up.
We all love a bargain – especially when it comes to knitting. I dove into the LoveKnitting sale yarns stash and came up with some amazing yarns that are now in the January sale. I squished them, I knitted them, I put them to the ultimate test. Here were my results!
This shade, First Bloom (04), is just one of this line’s gorgeous colorways. Spun with a blend of wool and silk for luxurious colors and acrylic for versatility and care, this yarn will become a fast favorite among color-loving knitters. The soft feel and strength would make a fantastic garment, like a cardigan or a large cabled scarf.
These colorways have a long repeat, which yields wide stripes. This swatch was knitted with 6 mm (US 10) needles, with 10 stitches and 10 rows. This is definitely a yarn for our stripe lovers!
For those who love chainette construction yarns, you will adore Louisa Harding Susurro. It’s deliciously soft, made with 100% alpaca, and perfect for garments. The chainette construction of the yarn means that garments are much lighter than they would be when knitted with traditional worsted weight yarns.
Have I mentioned that it knits up like a dream? I love chainette yarns, and this one is no different. It’s gorgeously dyed, with neutrals and jewel tones, and it would make a super warm yet lightweight sweater. The best of both worlds!
This worsted weight yarn is super shiny and has an amazing stitch definition. It’s perfect for cables or accessories that need some extra bling, and 317 yards (290 meters) per ball, you don’t need many to make a fantastically bright project.
When I say this yarn is shiny, it is seriously shiny. I think it would make a fun accessory or shawl! This swatch is knitted on 5 mm needles, 10 stitches and 10 rows.
This chunky yarn is the same as it’s solid shaded sibling, but with bold and fun colorways that knit up super quick. This shade is Berry Basket (609), but there’s a range of ice cream colored hues to choose from. This yarn is incredibly soft, perfect for sensitive skin or picky kids.
This wool blend yarn is machine washable and you can tumble dry it as well! I love the short color repeats for a bright and bold project – how about some chunky slipper socks? This swatch is 10 stitches across, 10 rows tall, and created with 6 mm needles.
