At this very moment I am rapped up in a blanket that I made (saving the gas), sat at my desk with the table lamp on and the twinkling lights from the Christmas tree and surrounded by a mass of colourful scatter cushions. I can hear the wind blustering outside and indoors it is very quite and peaceful other than the odd creaking sound. I love how cosy my home is you would not know that my landlord does not care about this house because I do and have done so for 15 years. There are gaps around the windows filled with news paper that can’t be seen because I have hung very heavy curtains. Curtains in beautiful fabrics with gold threads that gather on the wood floors and due to the gaps in the window frames when the wind blows through these gaps it creates a howling sound that makes it feel cosy and warmer inside and the draft also causes any lit candles to flicker. I have drawn my own art and used it to cover the more unsightly issues and this has added character, colour and interest. On a really blustery day I pretend that I am by the sea. Yesterday I woke to the sound of seagulls as the cold had driven them inland. My home is my most favourite place to be, everyone tells me that my home has cosy warmth to it.
