10 free patterns for last minute Christmas gifts!

With Christmas right around the corner, many of us are struggling to finish our projects before St. Nick drops down the chimney – and it seems like the projects keep stacking up! Office secret Santas, an acquaintance you didn’t expect a gift from (and then they showed up with a thoughtful, kind present), and extended family members that announce they’ll be attending Christmas at the last minute, here are some free knitting patterns for gifts that are beautiful and most importantly, knit up ridiculously fast to put into any stocking

1. Seaforth slouchy hat

I got into the pattern for the slouchy socks by clicking on the heading above the photo. Only trouble is that they show the knitted socks but give you the pattern for crochet!!

I have never mastered the art of crochet beyond a granny square, because I am left-handed and do it back-to-front.

Can we have the knitted version please?

  5. Elizabeth DeVasher says:

    Hi,

The slouchy slipper socks are only available as a crochet pattern. Is a knitting pattern available?

    Thanks,
    Elizabeth

  6. Claire says:

I’m pretty disappointed there is no last minute crochet patterns in your list!!

  7. Angela says:

On another matter, the pattern for the Eco Ewe shows a very clever way to make loops (large or small) by knitting a band and then dropping stitches! I am making a unicorn pyjama case (from a Knitting by Post pattern) for my young grand-daughter and was a little concerned about attaching a ‘mane’ to the back of its head in case the threads could be pulled loose. The idea of loops instead is brilliant and I am going to do it using that technique!

Your website is brilliant for new ideas – thank you.

  8. Maggie Corsie says:
