5 Game of Thrones knitting patterns!

With less than one week to go before the season 5 premiere, we are celebrating with these 5 fabulous Game of Thrones patterns!

5 Game of Thrones knitting patterns, available to download at LoveKnitting!

1. ”Winter’s Stag” by Margaret Warren

5 Game of Thrones knitting patterns: Baratheon mittens - download at LoveKnitting!

If you’re a fan of King Robert and his ”children,” you’ll love these mittens, adorned with the symbol of house Baratheon – a stag. Yours is the fury when you wear this winter accessory, knitted up in Cascade 220 Sport. We recommend Burgundy (2401) and Goldenrod (7827) to complete these festive cuffed mittens with a classic braided edging.

2.  Winter Is Coming illusion scarf by Louise Williams

Game of Thrones knitting patterns: direwolf illusion scarf - download FREE at LoveKnitting!

This FREE pattern is super simple but looks complex and impressive. Using simple knits, purls, and shade switching, this scarf measures 35 inches long by 18 inches wide and features a unique visual illusion caused by the purl ridges in combination with the shades switching every row. We recommend Rowan Pure Wool DK in Anthracite (003) and Enamel (013), as seen here.

We absolutely adore this shawl, inspired by Daenerys Targaryen and designed with dragon scales in mind. A subtle and classic design, wear your Game of Thrones pride everywhere! This pattern features 3 hanks of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in Red Rover (107) or Skyway (1111) for extra dragony scales.

These gorgeous dragon scale gloves are a perfect choice for the Mother of Dragons in your life, or for yourself to wear while you grasp a chilled chalice filled with Dornish wine. This charted pattern uses relatively simple lace  techniques to achieve the scaly texture, and features 1 hank of Cascade Heritage Solids in Moss (5612) or Pine (5608)

5. White Walkers by Melissa Beyer

Game of thrones knitting patterns: White Walker socks - download at LoveKnitting!

This pattern is written for the Magic Loop method but could easily be adapted for double pointed needles and contains instructions for small and large socks. The icy cabled pattern was inspired by the White Walkers, cold villains north of The Wall. For these socks, we love Lang Yarns Jawoll Magic Degrade  in 0024 or 0025, as seen here.

The illusion scarf does not seem to specify how much wool it needs. Unless I have missed something? I’d love to try it out but would need a guide of how much wool it takes.

      Me too!

      It’s a bit vague, tbh.

Has anyone tested out the written version? I can’t work from charts. It’s alot to risk as she has not tested the written version, only “thinks” she has it right and would apreciate being told otherwise.

“This pattern features 3 hanks of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in Red Rover (107) or Skyway (1111) for extra dragony scales.” This was in the description of the pattern on the website. I don’t know about on the actual pattern download since I haven’t downloaded it yet.

    • Angelina says:

      Hello ladies,

Upon some research, the designer has said that she used about 300g of DK weight yarn in each shade. Hope that helps!

  2. Kristina says:
