Summer hot tag winners!

Remember we asked you to show us your summer projects in our Community? We’ve picked the winners!

We love seeing your fabulous projects in our Community feed! It’s a wonderful place to share your knitting and crochet with other makers and swap tips and ideas. This summer we asked you to tag your summer projects with our SummerProject HotTag to win £100/$100 to spend on patterns, accessories and yarn – and we were overwhelmed with the fabulous response! It was a tough decision, but here are our four winners…

1. Rio by Alison L

We love Alison L’s crochet tribute to the Rio Games. Inspired by Max Whitlock winning gold for GB on the pommel horse, Alison just had to create him in crochet! Follow Alison L!

2. Ribbon Weed blanket by Susan K

A knitted, cable blanket is a friend for life. Susan overcame her worries about using circular needles and discovered just how easy they are to use. This beautiful blanket is knitted in Wool and the Gang Crazy Sexy Wool, but any super chunky yarn will work up beautifully. Follow Susan K!

3. Crescent Shawl by Lone D

This stunning crescent shawl is not only beautifully knitted but designed by Lone D too. Fantastic! We love the lime green against the grey, and the delicate lace edging is gorgeous! Follow Lone D!

4. Lush Cardigan by Aimee Croke

Aimee had been itching to cast on a Lush cardigan by Tin Can Knits, and luckily for her daughter Saoirse, she did! We love the fabulous copper shade of King Cole Merino Blend DK, it’s a great choice for an affordable superwash merino yarn. Follow Aimee Croke!
