    Nah, not knitting something for a baby… I did that last month. Now it’s something for me and finishing off some WIPs that have been put aside for a long time. As well as trying to smash my stash with hats and blankets for the local charity group – and it also lets me experiment with design features, wool and textures, practice stitch patterns, cast-ons, etc. Sometimes trying out crochet, and trying to get my hold so that my hand doesn’t hurt after a couple of hours.

    Well, the part about knitting for a child is correct — but that child is in his forties, so not a baby blanket or booties. I am knitting an aran afghan for him … was almost done but misplaced the pattern book, so project is on hold. 🙁

    It’s hard to say as I am knitting about 8 WIPs at the moment – 2 summer tops, a blanket, a shawl, a pair of socks, a vest and I have to sew up a jumper and a blanket. So it could be any of them.

    Yes! I am knitting a sweater for myself. I changed my mind from the original multi-coloured pattern as hubby thought it was awful, so I’m knitting a stripey jumper instead!

    My Mum taught me to knit, I do all different projects and donate them to our local Salvation Army as a thank you for the help they have given us.
